We just added to our deck, so now it is 21 x 18. It was not completely finished by my birthday (Mar. 19th) but it was useable. So we had my 60th Birthday Bash. It was great fun, we had 35 of our friends, and my friend Den catered the affair with Filipino food of my choosing. We had roast pork with crispy skin, lumpia, pancit, pork rib soup, salad, scalloped potatoes, and cauliflower baked in cheese plus appetizers. No one went home hungry. John had my cake made by one of the top chefs in Phuket. It was a fabulous chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling and chocolate frosting. It was death by chocolate. What a way to go.
Since the concrete had only cured for 6 days, all dancing was done in the house. We didn’t want to slide down the mountain. We had temporary wood put up for the railings and warning signs so no one would fall off. As you can tell we had plenty of food, drink and good fun.
